    Each year students in years 3, 5, (7, 9) are tested in literacy and numeracy.
    These national tests are important indicators of student progress but can also be used to assess the quality of education provided by schools.
    Beverley Hills has for so many years been one of the ten best schools in Victoria and in 2014 was the BEST Government School in the nation. This is a memorable achievement and is a measure of the quality of education provided by the teachers at BHPS.

  • THE BOX OF DOOM

    I ran into the woods without knowing where I was going. I was scared, but I kept going. I ran until I found it, the box. I didn’t know what was in there, I picked it up and ran back home.

    While I was running back something hit me. I didn’t know what it was but I fell asleep quickly.

    Few hours later….. “Where am I?” I said. I saw the box next to me. I opened it and it summoned a house which I was locked in. “Help!” I yelled. I saw three doors and I had to choose one.

    There was a left, middle and right door. I chose the right door because the right is always right. I got back to my own house.

    “What a mysterious box.” I said. I wonder how I fell asleep earlier. I’m probably going to get nightmares. I better go to sleep.

  • George’s Marvellous Medicine

    For the past week, our class has been reading Roald Dahl’s book George’s
    Marvellous Medicine.

    In our books, we have created our own marvellous medicine.

    P.S.  I’m a little scared to read about 3M’s Marvellous Medicines!  They have come up with some horrible ingredients!  Their WARNING labels for their medicine are frightening!  I’m glad they aren’t really making a marvellous medicine like George did!
