Physical Education Program

Mrs Rachel Wallace – Physical Education Co-ordinator
Physical Education is a specialist subject offered to all students on a weekly basis. Class groups attend Physical Education sessions where extensive equipment is set up in the Hall, Oval, Basketball courts and Volleyball courts to complete numerous units of physical activities.
Units include:
Junior School – PMP, Fitness Games, Skipping, Gymnastics’, Cricket, Netball, Dance, Athletics, Football, Basketball, Tennis and Tabloid Sports Fundamental Motor skills.
Senior School – Fitness Testing, Rounders, T-Ball, Softball, Cricket, Indoor and Outdoor Soccer, Gymnastics’, Hockey, Football, European Handball, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Frisbee Game and Athletics.
All students are placed into a House group, the Grade 6 House Captains and Vice-Captains help staff to co-ordinate whole school activities. The whole school events are; Run for Fun Day which enables staff to choose the Cross Country team, Physical Education Week and the House Sports Fun Day at the end of the year.
The Senior School participate in the House Sports Swimming Carnival and the House Athletics’ Day to facilitate choosing the School Swimming Team and the School Athletics’ Team.
The Grade 5 and 6 students participate in weekly sport played against the schools in our local District.
