SCHOOL COUNCIL

The Beverley Hills Primary School Council welcomes your enquiry.  Beverley Hills is a school that is committed to providing the best educational environment possible for its students through strong leadership by Council augmented by active parent involvement.
School Council is made up of the Principal, four Staff representatives and eight Parents.  It meets once a month and is responsible for determining the educational policy, setting Annual Budgets and deciding on future directions for the School.
Like any organisation of this type, the Council structure is supported by a number of
Sub-Committees that provide the material for Council decisions.
These Sub-Committees deal with:

  • Finance
  • Educations
  • Out of Hours Program
  • Grounds & Safety
  • Kindergarten
  • Fundraising

It is hoped that during their association with Beverley Hills parents will take up the challenge to become actively involved in the school whether it be as a member of School Council or one of the Sub-Committees, an Auxiliary group or simply helping in school with reading, Book Club, etc.
Parental involvement in the life of the school community is important in many respects; not only because their skills and energy are needed to ensure the continued success of the school, but more importantly it shows students that education is a vital part of life and is valued by the family.
No special skills or prior experience are needed to be eligible for School Council (or any other group), just enthusiasm and a desire to ensure children receive a quality education.

If you would like to take an active part in the life of the school, please contact  the School Office (9842 1428).
